Marine and Tsunami Debris Sightings

Over the years the likelihood that tsunami debris is still arriving in Hawaii is becoming less. Marine debris as such, however, is increasing. We therefore want to expand our listings to include “interesting” or unusual marine debris, debris that tells a story and can help us better understand the pathways of debris or its environmental impacts; for example, debris with writing showing name of product, manufacturer, or place of origin; or debris with unusual growths or inhabitants, for example, a motorcycle hat made in Korea with little crabs or a bottle with fish living in it.
