Reef shark behaviour and physical parameters in their natural habitat

The whitetip reef sharks (Triaenodon obesus) is one of the most common sharks found around reefs in Hawaii. Its non-agressive behaviour and preference to often linger at the same area for longer periods of time make it comparatively easy to study his behaviour. A particular group of sharks is observed in a 30m wide and up to 6m deep channel in a shallow reef at the south shore of Oahu.
